Current Projects: Organic Extension Service

Organic Extension Underground

Hebert Green Agroecology initiated a project to make a network of professionals in organic production available to growers in the Southeast for site visits or telephone chats, filling the “organic gap” in the cooperative extension service. Recognizing the difficulty in providing this as a fee-based service, we recently spun this project off as a non-profit organization based in Atlanta with plans to provide the service for free. “Organic Extension Underground” is currently attempting to secure funding to this end. The infrastructure is being established with associate Karen Adler.
